Hi,

I'm just checking, but is Akira Kurosawa's "Ikiru" in public domain too, as "Rashomon" ? If yes, I can upload the 700MB version of it.

According to wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanshiro_Sugata) In July 2006, a Japanese court ruled that all movies produced prior to 1953 were to be made available into the public domai.

It would be great if you could add any Kurosawa'a pre 1953 movies in nice qlty [especialy: Yoidore tenshi (1948), Nora inu (1949), Shubun (1950)].

4 of his movies can be found here: http://stage6.divx.com/Akira_Kurosawa

-Sugata Sanshiro
-Zoku Sugata Sanshiro
-Rashomon
-Ikiru

I was able to get:
-Sugata Sanshiro (1943)
-Ichiban utsukushiku 13 April 1944
-Zoku Sugata Sanshiro (1945)
-Tora no o wo fumu otokotachi (1945)
-Waga seishun ni kuinashi 29 October 1946
-Subarashiki nichiyobi (1947)
-Shizukanaru ketto (1949)
-Hakuchi (1951)
-Ikiru (1952)

So I can add some of thoose, but their quality is not that great :/

this is interesting information. What about early Ozu (1932 or so). aka "I was born but". I'd like more proof of this.
